Stripped a few bits off a scrapper FL at the weekend to prolong the life of my poor old girl, and in so doing noticed a very nice leather gearknob (auto) and decided to get it. Now as I understood it the Elites got them, pre and post facelift, however, this certainly wasn't an Elite, a but a lowly CD if I remember rightly.
As a previous owner of a FL CDX, which also didn't have a leather knob. Just wondering who's got one, who hasn't?
My theory is... all PFL/MFL/FL Elites got leather knobs only, but model year 2001-onward specs as low as CD got leather knobs. I could refer to my brochures but they're stored at my parents at present, packed away. Or was this a quirk in production, or something else?
Interesting little change in production, anyway :)

My old 94 CD manual had a nice leather knob, actually it was in much better nick than mine, ;) ooer.

Standard on all facelifts, manual and auto, along with leather wheel...
All the gaiters are vinyl though ::)

Could've sworn my Turbo Weasel wasn't leather... maybe just a very worn, shiny leather, then... Just didn't 'feel' leather, you know? Fair dos :)

My 2003 CDX auto has both a leather knob and steering wheel.

Cheers :)
Good news is, then, my '96 car will have one soon, too :)

[I was going to type a long, rambling post for comic effect, but I don't have the time, so just imagine one for the purposes of this discourse :y]
