Title: Is the Sandwich Plate in V6 symmetrical?

Just completing my thermostat and cam cover change. I am just wondering whether the sandwich plate is symmetrical or not. Seem that it fits in two positions. Is it symmetrical?

Hopefully it is symmetric as I already assembled it. Cannot see any difference which way I put it there.

If I remember correctly it has rotational symmetry.
