Title: Pas pump question
Post by: Webby the Bear on 08 November 2015, 18:24:42
Hi guys,

We had a Vauxhall vivaro in the other day and I replaced the pas pump. Boss said these are common for leaking because there's a big core plug on the back that comes away from the body.

Does the omegas pump have this same core plug at the back? Looking at a used egay pump it appears that it does have this. Can someone confirm?

I had my paw on the pump today and it felt most wet at the back. The union on top also didn't appear to be leaking

Nope, they have a large metal disk held in with a big metal spring clip.

When they leak its usually the reservoir to pump pipe that goes.

I think that's what I'm referring to  :y

Does this pipe spring a leak from where it connects to the pump or can it be anywhere along?

They tend to go porous and ouse fluid across the entire length which then gathers at the end and drips

Thanks mate. i'll dig down to it at some point.

As I mentioned awhile ago, the Vivaro we had in, that disc was actually coming away and pishing out fluid. our garage has seen a lot like that.
