Hello all
Local dealer here did not find any part number for CTS for ECU (Y26SE engine).
What he found was part No. 90541520 as referred below, but this is according to his catalog for X25XE and X30XE only.

Does anyone know the right number for this part for Y26SE or could I just use this 90541520?

That'll do... :y

Thanks, I order then that. Started this Thermostat and Cam Cover Change operation more than a week ago. Good to have Astra 1.6 in family as well.

Sorry I didn't think to put in the guide that there may be a difference in V6 engines. but al has confirmed its good for the 2.6. so presume its good for 3.2 also? :)

Indeed ;)
Double check the plug shape if in any doubt :y

Interesting, found with this number only Vectra with Y26SE.

Took finally away the old one. It is Bosch with stamped number 0281002169.
The new part 90541520 is Bosch with stamped number 0280130093.
Mechanically they look identical, also connector is the same. Interesting, perhaps I just install the new one and stop thinking too much.

That's the most sensible thing that I have heard all day ;)

Good luck, you might need it. I've hit this before when I fitted an injected Pinto from a Sierra into my Capri. The temp sensor looks identical, but the Capri gauge doesn't read at all with the Sierra sensor. The same thing happens when you fit an EFI V6(from a Scorpio) into a 2.8i.

Never ending story...
I phoned to OPEL FINLAND. After a long conversation they found it a bit complicated to find the right spare. As I had the number given by baggers they finally confirmed that the number 90541937 is the right one.
I will order that.
