Title: Cleaning the sensors

Do the reversing sensors need cleaned all the time  :-\ They seem to not sense a car but if anyone walks past close the beeper goes off  ??? Omega saloon seems to throw up a lot of dirt onto the rear bumper and onto the sensors  :(
Ive had to go back to turning me edd now and thats not on  ::) ;D

The sensors on mine were caked in mud until I got the car washed yesterday. They worked fine.

I would have thought that not to "see" a car the sensors would have to be so caked in muck that they'd be sounding constantly as they'd sense the muck as an obstruction?

Must be a fault, not washed the 3.2 in about 6 months, sensors working fine  :y

Worth checking the connections on the inside of the bumper, I reckon. But I've never had sensors so I don't know if my theory, or your sensors, hold water...
