Is there a type of paint that we use to cover the nasty sticky mess of the door trims and handles :-\ The stuff feels like melted rubber that comes off on your hands at the minute ::) Has anyone tried the rubber in a can spray :-\

Do recall a thread where someone used plastic-dip some time ago :-\

They'll be looking a bit tatty now, they were done maybe 7 years ago, but a good clean will freshen up, ask Paulk for a pic of his door cards. That's our old 'Turbo Weasel' he now runs. Repainted various bits a nice dark silver and gloss piano black, like the VXRs, looked rather good if I say so myself. Wore very well.
Also, if it helps, notice that the plastic underneath is the same colour as the rubberised coating - so it's always perfectly doable to just wet n dry/rub off the rubberised coating only. A little shiner of course than the factory rubberised coatings, but it's either that, repaint or buy a superior PFL, pre-MFL, with our non-rubberised switchgear. :)

SIR Philbutt, looks great, actually. Personal taste I'd have left the electric window and sunroof panels, but that's nitpicking, and as I say, only personal taste. Really nice looking job, and very well matched up 'opposing' weave of the carbon, too, which is a nice touch. :y

How did you manage that ? Was it heat shrank and where did you get the materials from :)

It's vinyl wrap, this stuff http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2D-3D-4D-5D-6D-Black-Carbon-Fibre-Vinyl-Wrap-Film-Sticker-Bubble-Air-Free-Multi-/381117191869?var=&hash=item58bc5ad6bd:m:mKFeosNCQWKecUybQl1acFg (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2D-3D-4D-5D-6D-Black-Carbon-Fibre-Vinyl-Wrap-Film-Sticker-Bubble-Air-Free-Multi-/381117191869?var=&hash=item58bc5ad6bd:m:mKFeosNCQWKecUybQl1acFg).
Looked up a couple of how too's on YouTube to learn the technique for applying vinyl, then after a bit of trial and error got the knack.
Took 3 lots of that stuff, still got some left over to repair if required (which is on one door)

Thanks :y Think I answered this before, short answer, more satisfaction from DIY than paying someone

Thanks also. :y
I left the window buttons at first but just didn't look right when put back together, they took a few attempts before I got them right. If your careful you can click out/in the buttons which makes it easier. Closer inspection and you will agree they could be better though
Sunroof panel was because my lad asked me to do it. I have also done the little glossy panels between the doors, because he asked. He also suggested the panels under the headlights and rear lights, but have resisted that so far ::)
