Hi
Does anyone have a pic of the wiring to the heater resistor please?
Mine has been bodged together i assume because of the faulty climate panel which i have now replaced. Heating was controlled by 2 mickey mouse switches connected to the heater resistor. Now i need to know what wires connect to what terminals.
From the climate panel i have 2 spare wires - black with blue stripe and brown with white stripe.
Mine is a p plate 3.0 elite estate with climate
Many thanks
Jim

This is on the side of the heater motor
thanks

On the resistor (hedgehog) are 2 single connections going to the motor itself ( a + and - ) and 1 plug with 5 wires going back up into the dash via another connector on the side of the plastic motor housing cowl, it seems from your pic that you`re missing said connector on the cowl

This is my resistor with the wires going up to switches on the dash. I think a trip to the scrappiesto salvage the plugs is in order
Thanks very much for the reply

Been to scrappys today and have got both plugs and the resistor.

Both plugs fit into the resistor so could i just plug the dash loom straight in (longer wire in pic) and miss out the shorter wire which seems to serve no real purpose. The only difference is that 2 of the wires are thicker.
Thanks

The extra bit is probably fitted by someone who couldn't be arsed to reach a bit further the plug the factory loom in :-X
-
They both are factory loom
-
The dash loom (longer wire) plugs into the first pic, then the shorter wire comes out of the first pic and plugs into the resistor.
-
That makes no sense :-\
Certainly don't recall it being anything other than proper plugs on the cars I have change the hedgehog on :-\
-
Yup i dont understand why vauxhall put in what looks like to me an extension.
Im just gonna skip the small wie and plug it straight in from the dash.

SUCCESS!!!!!!
Joined the new long loom plugged it in to the new resistor, fired up the heating and its now working as it should HOOOOOORAY!!!!!
Thanks to everyone for all their help
