Title: Weapons

Watched an episode of Wycliffe this morning before going to work.The plot involved armed response officers,surely[although it was essential to the plot]these officers aren't allowed to take their pistols and ammunition home whether locked in a safe/gun cabinet or not?Or are they?

I read that British armed cops only carry 15 rounds, is this true Jason?

Honest answer is 'I don't know' Although I'd be surprised if that were true, judging by the amount of kit they carry - on them & in their vehicles.

Mp5 std mag takes 30.
Glock 17 holds 15.

And would bet with a fair certainty that there will be at least one spare full mag for each on the bat belt....

I would hope so, 15 rounds doesn't bode well for a firefight Paris style.God forbid it ever happened again
