...supposed to be going to York for MrsGKs 21st. Chances of it being negotiable by foot, not canoe...?
We were intending on shopping in the daytime and then going to Cosmo for dindins.
Also staying in Wigginton, just outside the ring road to the north, anyone know if theyve also been hit? Awful scenes on telly earlier, top marks to the fella using a RIB to deliver tea... from a pot.

Also top marks to a member her, Ian, who has been out with pumps and Generators to help pump out areas. As a volunteer!
He doesn't come on much now but he used to be quite active back when he organised the York meets :y

On the local news last night they said York is open but whether the shops are is another matter.
I think the A19 was closed but couldn`t say which bit, probably to the west, Easingwold side of York.

I have some waders, a rib and an outboard you can borrow ::)
You could say that you had organised a cruise ;D

We were there on Monday/Tuesday and other than roads to the north and east of the city walls, the only issues we had were no phones (so no card transactions, fixed Monday evening) and the Yorvik was flooded
