Title: Projects
Post by: abodah on 31 December 2015, 21:03:40
All right, so I bought a MV6 Opel Omega facelift as I stated in my first post.
Now I am thinking about few projects, and already started with the first one.

-   It is Bluetooth Factory head unit. I have the NCDC2013 head unit with GPS Navigation system.
I bought a Bluetooth headset, disassembled it. Connected its audio output to the CDC cable of the head unit with a manual hidden button to switch between Bluetooth and CDC. Connected its power plug to LM7805 power regulator. Now for the hard part. I wanted the music streaming to be controlled via the steering wheels’ control. I discovered that the steering wheels’ controls output is only one wire, with different voltage assigned to each button. I connected this wire to the analogue to digital converter input of ATMEGA 16. And programmed a small app to measure the voltage and control each headset button depending on the input voltage from the steering wheels’ control. I downloaded MortPlayer so I can assign each button the way I want; I even could assign the same button number of times depending on how many times its pressed within a time limit. I am thinking of buying USB mp3 player and connect it the same way in the future.

-   The second project is Automatic headlight.  The lights will turn on automatically at night or when entering a tunnel. Also, the lights will turn on when I unlock the car at night, and will stay on after I lock it. For this I need feeds from the remote control unit, and to the head lights. And I need help with that if possible.

-   The third project is Double click auto closure.  I want the car to dead lock, closes windows and sunroof, folds in the mirrors, and sounds the horn once when I double click the lock button on my key fob. And for that I need help with also the remote control unit, horn connection, and mirror folding switch connection.

Any help will be appreciated.
Any comment or idea will be welcomed.
Regards

Not sure what outputs are directly available from ECU, but obviously it controls the motors which could be monitored for locking and unlocking and deadlocking.  You may be able to wire internally into an autodipping mirror to utilise its light sensor, resulting in a true factory look. Not sure if your Opel MV6 will have an autodipping mirror.
