I have a 2002 52 2.2CD, when I bought the car it had a fairly common problem in that the central locking worked on all doors apart from drivers door, leading to the system requiring manual locking/unlocking with key to lock drivers door. When locking the door I would press the lock button on the key for and the indicators would flash to indicate that the alarm was set. This was an easy fix, new drivers door motor for system, however, now the central locking works perfectly on all doors to open with fob but will not lock with fob, only by key???
I am at a loss as the key works fine to open and all doors open simultaneously, I have also now lost the indicator flash when pushing lock button on fob...Any ideas???

This gets even weirder, I just took the battery from my key and put it in the spare fob, when I tried the car this one will lock the car but won't open it??? I this a battery issue???

Pop key in ignition. Turn to pos 2. Press lock button.
I think thats how to resync the key with the car, anyway... :y

Hi, already tried re syncing the fob and that didn't fix the issue. I don't think syncing is the issue though as the unlock function works perfectly on one fob then when I switch to the other fob the unlock works but won't lock. Could this be a battery issue? Thanks

That one alone is usaully down to a faulty solenoid in the drivers door :y

Sounds very coincidental, but I'd say the 'lock' button on one fob is Donald, and the 'unlock' button on t'other fob is Donald. Quite common for the buttons to fail.

All OP needs to do is get another Batt and have both Fobs working to try that one out :y

The buttons were working fine before I replaced the motor so think they are ok

I have put new batteries in both fobs and still the same, one fob only works to open and other fob will only close...I am at a loss now as both keys were working yesterday before I replaced the motor

In replacing the batteries .. have you damaged/dislodged/moved the button connectors to the circuit board ??
