Where is the best place on a 2.5 v6 to mount the tap off for he MAF sensor for the LPG system????
As there doesn't seem to be alot of room on the plenum.
Any pics or discription would be great :y

Haven't heard of LPG requiring a MAF feed
For vacuum you have a few choices.
I'd go for plenum, either drill a hole or intercept one of the vacuum hoses

As Martin says, the system needs a vacuum feed. The MAF will be at atmospheric pressure as it is before the throttles.
I drilled and tapped the plenum just behind the throttle bodies and fitted a nozzle there.

Kevin, you tapped the plenum for the vac feed then???
Is that what your saying??
I have seen Jays one for this but the 2.6, 3.0 & 3.2 all have the long plenum.
So is it better for me to try and tap into an existing vac line??
Any ideas which will be the most suitable to use??

Correct. I drilled and tapped the neck of the plenum.
When we did James' 2.5 we used the vacuum feed for the SAI system which was fubar anyway, from the tee in the vacuum line that feeds the brake servo so either is possible.
I'd say there's some likelihood that the signal can get disturbed by multirams switching, etc. if a common vacuum feed is used, which is why I went for a feed from the plenum but we didn't see anything bad happening on James' install.

My garage done conversion has a feed from the plenum :)

The other feed there (the thin one) is the flashlube, now also feeds to the other side :)

Can someone confirm please thats its a 5mm hole and a 6mm tap with 1mm pitch for the nozzles and the vac tap off.....Ta ;)

My vacuum feed is on a hole I drilled in the wrong place for the nozzles :-[

Mine has 2 pipes from the Plennum.
l/h goes to the remote pressure switch and the r/h seems to bury itself down towards the vaperisor :question :question

All pics so faf are on the long plenum, its a bit tighter on the short one, not much of a flat surface to use :(

Why did they fit flashlube? I didnt think Vx engines needed it. :-/
Mine certainly hasnt got flashlube fitted.
Any one else got it fitted on their lpg omegas?

I used the pipe which runs from the front round the back and into a T near the brake servo. I (MarkDTM) ran a T at the front and connected it to the vaccum for the LPG.
I'm having issues with my LPG at the moment, the pressure keeps dropping if left to tickover, or crawling in traffic. It's as though there is no vaccum - so now i wonder if Ting from the brake server pipe is a good idea, even if it has worked for nearly a year...
Or maybe i have issues elsewhere?
