Title: Citroen C3 'stat
Post by: Andy B on 18 January 2016, 22:52:56
Anyone care to guess how much fitted  ......  fitted at a dealer partly due to on going niggly problems that, I have to give the dealer credit for and haven't always charged me for looking. Unlike any other 'stat I've come across, it's not a waxstat but an ECU controlled motor driven affair ......  ???

£265 if anyone is interested  ;) ;)

The French do some strange things, adding a motor on a French car, most manufacturers use a heater with a wax capsule to support ECU control of stats as there is much less to go wrong!

While that is very high, assume a big bulk of that is labour?

I just ordered a new stat from Vx for my 2.2, £39 inc Vat (on trade club) - So it was probably around £55 retail...

On 4 pot Omega it would be 1 of hours labour for a stat change @ £100/hr? - So maybe 2 hours for a Shitron, so about right I guess.  :-\

Yes mostly labour. The 'stat itself was about £70

Got to say, whilst it is expensive for a stat change it's not that expensive for a dealer
