Title: Posting in wanted section
Post by: rockayansky on 20 January 2016, 15:21:40
Is there a criteria, as I don't seem to be able to post/find the new post button?

You're a newbie, you need a certain amount of posts (a few hundred only) to buy or sell. It generally is intended to eliminate the people just looking for a free ads for their car, etc.. However, as it's wanted ad, if you ask a mod nicely they may well move it for you. What was you looking for?  :)

Thanks.
Admirably it's been 5 yrs since I owned an Omega, hence not been on here in a while.
I'm in need of a cheap large estate for work and dogs...I just can't find any really that are either realistically priced  (given the age and engine choices compared to what most want today) or that are estates. I'm thinking the scrapings scheme has a lot to answer for!
I digress...how can I contact the moderator that I may ask?

Such as The Boy is a mod, as is Kevin Wood.

Higher value, being a whole car, rather than a nut n bolt, you may have to chuck a few more posts on, get involved in the conversations, and rack the count up a little, however, there's far less scope to 'fleece' people buying a car than selling it, afterall, if you don't turn up with the money, they're not going to let you have the car!  :)

Maybe start another thread in gen chat as a more overall 'I'm looking for an estate, what should I be looking for/avoid?' kind of thing, that way it's not a specific 'Me want car. Now' wanted ad, just provoking conversation which will, in itself, no doubt prove valuable to yourself. Within days you'd have built your postcount up (250 rings a bell) and you can easily post a 'proper' wanted ad.

Good luck with the search, estates are very scarce, but like anything, find a good 'un it'll look after you, they are simply cavernous.  :)

Duely noted and thanks for words of wisdom (no doubt) and advice!
Cheers

Feel free to post a wanted advert in the test zone and I'll move it for you. As stated only sales not allowed by people with low post counts but no other way to implement it.
