Title: Any american car experts known?
Post by: omegod on 20 January 2016, 17:53:24
I've been offered something monstrously big and impractical that's possibly a steal and may earn Mr Omegod a few quid but need to check pricing with someone in the know, all help appreciated

I drove a Ford Econoline van around Europe for a couple of years in a previous life.   8)  :y

It was big, very comfy, towed anything effortlessly, but with a 6.8 ltr V10 it should have been called the Thirstoline!  :D  ;D

When in unfamiliar territory it was good practice to fill up whenever you saw a fuel station!  ::)  ;)

Last experience I had was one in the scrappy, just been wheeled in there. Bloke nattering and - indicating to some small surface rust on the sill - raised his boot and lightly knocked the offending sill. His foot went straight through almost to the ankle!

Actually, that was a Daewoo Matiz, now I come to think of it. A completely different car. Utterly. No similarities at all. None.  ;)

The Daewoo version, well the garage was more likely to have it than yourself, problems after problems.

That was the 800cc, the 1ltr was four cylinder.  But you was lucky if you could keep that running on all 4  :)
