Title: Renault customer service
Post by: STEMO on 22 January 2016, 11:36:44
Wifey's sat nav needs an upgrade, one which Evans Halshaw should have done before delivery. I rang them this morning only to be told that they they can't do it because their firewall will not let them access the site needed. Not very happy  :(

So rang Renault customer service and spoke to a delightful young lady called Ruth. She put everything down on her system and said she would look around my area to see if another dealer could do it. When I hung up I got a text with her phone number at Renault, email address and even a number I could text her back on. With twenty minutes I had a phone call from Harratts in Wakefield to ask when I would like to go in and have it done.

That is great service from Renault, if not from EH.  :)

Ruth means kind and compassionate

The opposite of ruthless. :y

Evans Halshaw hang your head in shame. :(

Evans Halshaw are an incompetent bunch of wasters, possibly the single most useless bunch of dealers I have ever encountered.

Without naming names - let's call this dealer 'Hevans Elshaw' - friend of my missus bought a car from them, fully serviced and 12 months MoT. Got pulled month later. NO MoT.

Yes, folks, they'd faked the Mot certificate.  :o :o

They really should hang their head in shame, hope you're not going to take it there for servicing, they don't deserve another penny from you.

No its cause no one buys renaults so they are all sitting around twidling their thumbs.

The local Renault dealer here also has the Dacia - basically cheap Renaults - and Hyundai - which seems a reasonable fit - franchises in the same building. They also have the Maserati franchise, using the same staff/workshop which is a little odd.  It's really funny watching the Renault service advisor tearing the invoice off the printer, putting it into a leather folder, straightening his tie,  walking through a door and giving the massive bill to a Maserati owner!

From the same desk? Even then with Renault/Dacia/Nissan being kissing cousins, and the same with Fiat/Alfa/Jeep being at least as incestuous it's just a big dealership. But Dacia and Maserati?
