My Y reg 2001 3.2 plod estate has finally gone to a new home.
Had it here on OOF for a couple of months but nothing doing. Triying to sell Omega's to you Guys is like trying to sell ice to Eskimo's.
I put it in Autotrader for £1350, no calls. So then I drop it £1095 or near offer. Then I get a call from a Nigerian gentleman, who tells me he needs a car as soon as he comes to the country. HE IS WILLING TO PAY ME £3000 WITHOUT SEEING THE CAR
Apparently, all I needed to do was give him my date of birth, bank account details, NI number so he could deposit the money in my account, and he would pick the car up when he came to England. Said he trusted me not to steal his money ::) ::) ::)
Then had 2 people who didn't turn up, and 18 year old who after he'd come realised he couldn't afford the insurance ::) ::) ::)
Finally a guy from RAF Digby comes drives it loves it, gives me £1000 cash.
Done and dusted
Bought this car exactly 2 years ago for £1400. Have not spent a SINGLE PENNY.
I am well pleased with this, £200 a year to run a V6 including depreciation is excellent.
So I am happy with £1000. Anyone think I sold it too cheap :y :y :y

Only a loss £400 over 2 years sounds pretty good to me Optimist ,especially as you have spent little or nothing on service and parts.
As you have noticed ,there are plenty of con men out there, have come across a few myself. :-* :-* :-* :-*
