after a good replacement backbox for 3.2 omega. bought and fitted genuine GM 3.0 one but it too short and sounds awful.
not worried about being genuine just a good backbox that going to be quiet but has two tips
-
I got one from a local motor factors for around 40 pounds, wasn't genuine but has the two tailpipes that you require..
You can have my old backbox for free as its just kicking about and getting under my feet, if you want it, just needs 1 of the tips or tailpipes replaceing as I butchered it for use as a twin to fit the Irmscher rear bumper, Iv now git a cat back custom stainless system fitted now....

I got a Janspeed s/s catback on mine has 2 polished pipes and not bad price £550

I like the sound the Omega V6 makes personally,I'd agree if it was a 4-pot they don't sound nice at all :y

Was £480 for mine, fully fitted... had the car all ruddy day too...
Mine goes from both cats, into Y piece collector then into twin box single pipe, back into Y piece collector and then out to both side of back bumper, running over the towbar.... sounds nice, especially when the cams switch on, a bit quiet for my liking TBH but has made a difference on performance...

you can get a car for that price :y
-
Yeah thats the thing.... The exhaust will outlive the car LOL

Daft brush... a stainless exhaust on a new car will probably outlast that too ::)

I use ETS or Eternal for exhausts. Except the chavmobile's backbox, as it has one of those posy Irmscher ones on.

ETS on all of mine, past and present. Just slap some cheap tat trims on the bit you can see and job done.
Should add, I spent a small fortune on a Longlife stainless cat back exhaust a while back and it was a waste of money - 2 into 1 system that made the performance flat and was unrefined. the £79 ETS system is better in every respect and can be replaced six times for the cost of the Longlife.......

For the 3.2 with twin exit, what trim did you use? 2x single pipe trims? Did they fit side by side?

You need to measure the gap between the outlet pipes and do the maths because the last two ETS exhausts I have had the pipes at a slight angle to each other. I'm contemplating cutting the pipes back on the one I have for the next project so the larger trims fit.
I've got two Halfords trims from the chav section (although not many stores have the right size) on the daily driver and two ebay ones on the other 3.2.

Which sizes did you get? I need to have a measure. :)

Might be as easy to buy a facelift back box from ETS... :-\
The genuine one you have is obviously from a mid/pre facelift... rear bumpers are different depths, hence the wrong length ;)
