Title: great car crash con.
Post by: biggriffin on 25 January 2016, 18:45:08
Just watched on the BBC iPlayer The great car crash con,  :) it's part of the week in week out series.

You have to watch this, took, excellent police work, insurance companies got a hit, and a whole family got taken to court, but it's the CCTV footage that is brilliant.

Just watched it. Seen similar scams on similar programmes, Birmingham and Manchester are those I remember. Imagine how much insurance premiums could be reduced if these people were stopped.

If we shot all the people I think we should, well, we wouldn't need to be concerned about population growth. :-X

This sort of thing happened regularly in Leeds and Bradford years ago, then the police clamped down on it and it seemed to stop after a few were caught and sent to jail.

Worryingly, I find myself agreeing with you again.

I'll have to console myself with the hope that my list of first against the wall come the revolution is different to yours ::)

Doubt it, Nick. It can't be different, just more exclusive, as mine includes nearly everyone.  ;D

Fixed.  :y

Similarily, energy companies have told us for years that wholesale gas / electricity track the price of oil, which was why they had to keep jacking up the prices.
We all know the price of oil has fallen off a cliff in the last year, but energy prices have stayed exactly the same.  >:(
