why I was interested, at the time. my son had a girl friend & when she read of records being destroyed she claimed her license was lost. she applied for a renewal & of course initially got knocked back.
the York test centre could not say either way. she was very friendly with a driving instructor who I presume for a favour told the dvla she,d been one of his pupils & stated that she had qualified. however after all these years I heard she wrote something on facebook, basically bragging about it all & her license has been suspended.

Or..... as per the other thread about the conning insurance/garage scam ..... social media. These half-wits just don't seem to realise that the world has access to what they post eg the toeraggs that display what they've nicked in front of them & then wonder why Plod comes knocking on their door  ::)

Similar to the biker on the news last week who recorded all his misdemeanours on his helmet cam.
Over 100mph in a 30 zone, wheelying between lines of traffic, and his speedo showing over 150 at one point.
He was jailed for two years iirc. He should also have been shot for being stupid enough to film himself while doing it all. ::)

Wasn't there a story something along the lines of... a guy in America donkeys years ago who got a surgeon friend to sew his fingers to his chest for a period of weeks, which removed his fingerprints. He then went and did a robbery. Police found him a few days later. Idiot didn't twig he was the only human being on earth without fingerprints!

Yes and due to that I lost my m/c entitlement, never did bother chasing it up or taking CBT!

Could be where my motorcycle entitlement went AWOL too then.Once I get the Lexmoto up and running I'll have to do the CBT,that should then last me nicely enough to retirement!
