Title: Lost our old boy Ollie last night.
Post by: 2boxerdogs on 01 February 2016, 13:02:52
Always had Boxer dogs for the last 32 years got 2 brothers from rescue 9 years ago lost one in 2014 & had to have his brother Ollie put to sleep last night, we knew his time was soon but it leaves such an empty feeling. Hope there are some dog lovers on here who know how I feel right now.😞 😞

Very saddened to hear this. They leave a void. All the very best, to yourself and all the family, and remember what they've left you with, all the good memories.  :'(

It's absolutely heartbreaking, I spend more time with my dog than any human. My day is structured around her walks and I get quite indignant if anyone suggests that I spoil her. No words can make you feel better right now but don't be ashamed about how you feel, they are part of the family.

Deepest sympathies T, from MrsGK and I, both dog lovers.

Now would be a good time to post a photo, share the happy memories. :D

Very sad to hear that, I know exactly how you feel. We had to have our Cairn put down at 19.5 years old. Gut wrenching. :( :( :(

I'm a cat person, but can relate to that feeling of no pet to come home to  :'(

So sorry to hear of the loss of Ollie ..... they really do get under your skin. Clarkson, in one of his books, described the loss of his dog as 'achingly sad' and I can completely empathise.  :'(

Thanks guys, feel a whole lot better today had a good long walk with our young Boxer Buddy this morning, he is a bit confused as to where his old pal is Ollie was 12 so he did well , and now I can give young Buddy all the attention he craves , and I apologise for posting this in the wrong section but my head was all over the place yesterday.
