Title: Galaxy S2 Reset Problem

I have had a build up of issues since I bought the phone and have been reluctant to format/reset the phone for various reasons.

I cant do much now as I keep getting force close msgs trying to make calls and use apps etc.

The problem I have is I cant remember my samsung password and this is required to do a phone reset.

I have tried all the ones I can think of, The email address I use is still active, I even reset the email account just incase it was actually that that made a difference and hoped it might make a difference to the log in, but that failed.

I just cant find a way to reset or get a reminder so I can do a reset, even been on the samsung site but cant find anything there for resetting it either.

so just wondering if anyone had any suggesttions.

I hadn't replied as I didn't try it till today.

The samsung link would not allow me access as it did not recognise the email address.

I had changed that manually online, and it had to be reset on my S4 so I know the email account is active.


I had tried the reset proceedure from the youtube link after I had googled it and that didn't work, but after watching the link I saw that I was not holding the buttons long enough, tried a dozen times, end result is that neither of the options worked. :'(


End result was I went and got my tool box and a BIG hammer to follow TB's advice.  One last try, battery out, sim out, sim in, battery in, tried a reset as per youtube link, no joy yet again, let the phone boot.  All issues still persistant so went and had a brew . . . if it not working by tea time it's going under the hammer  ::)

If the phone is worth more than £10-15 to you, one of these small phone unlocking places should be able to do it.
