Not an old group test from 1994, but a more recent review (well, three-four years ago) but never seen it before...

Agree with you,had not seen it,but just about sums up the fate of the surviving Omegas...sadly,but still enjoy driving mine and am going to continue to do so.The knockers don't know what they're missing... still that's their loss! : ::):)still smile when driving a properly sorted Omega :y

20 1990s future classics to consider.
In at number 7........what else but the Vauxhall Omega. :y
I kid you not it was there with the likes of Golf VR6.....number 2......and Fiat Turbo coupe...number 10. :y

That bloke doesn't know his arse from his elbow. My Carlton Diplomat (24v 2.6) had both Sport and Ice Mode.
It was also a far better car than the Omega. :-*

Ice Mode or more accurately "push this button and it will start in third gear. You won't go anywhere, but the manager has some paper to show what we've 'done' for the last 6 working days 5minutes. First one to the pub buys."

There's a few inaccuracies in that review, yeah. However, he spoke so warmly of the car, which was actually very nice to read. Especially as the motoring press wasn't known for its generosity towards 90s Vauxhalls....
