Engine warning light came on this morning , read the code and it says " Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Open "
What should i be looking at to fix ? :-\
Fuel filter :-\

What is the code (as a lot of descriptions from unofficial sources are complete crap), and what engine.

Fault code came back :
P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)
What does this mean :-\
Car was standing unused for about 6 weeks but ive been using the car for 3 weeks now and when the eml comes on it does not affect the engine at all .

You can safely ignore that one. The usual pre-cat monitoring problem that is common to 3.2s and less so 2.6s.
Solution is to relocate the secondary lambda sensors behind the main cats.

Thanks kevin , i did think that was just a 3.2 problem . Maybe another pre-cat party at sereks in the summer :)

Or, drive in a manner that reduces the chances of P0420/P0430 ever showing. ;) Never had that issue on mine for some reason. :-\ :)

Apologies, my comment sounds like a rude response and it wasn't intended that way. I have heard that it's very common for the 3.2 but haven't suffered it on mine. The only time my eml came on was when I'd put contaminated fuel in it a while back, for which I was refunded. :y

Funnily enough the light came on after putting in some normal unleaded "BP", maybe after re setting the eml i should try some super unleaded for a while and see how long it takes for the light to come on :-\
Do you sugest an italian tune up ::)

Worth giving "Cataclean" a go?
Ron.

Naah. You'll drive yourself mad trying to figure out if it's this or that or whether potion A helps over potion B. Put up with the light. If that drives you mad, relocate the sensors. :y

No offence taken. I guess "pootling along behind some retard at just below torque converter lockup speed" isn't the manner you're referring to, or my commute would have fixed the problem long ago. ::)

As YZ250 has far too politely suggested, drive it properly. If you don't want to, move the sensors as Kevin Wood says - this requires a bit of drilling and welding, and possible 2 sensors.
Don't bother with the snake oils, or expensive petrol. You will find it impossible to reach a conclusion.

Mine comes up when I've had Little Lady LD in the car lots, particularly around town. But normally goes out after a few solo journeys :-X ::)
