Title: 2.2 Front down pipe dilemma.
Post by: Spally on 18 February 2016, 18:06:34
Needs some advice guys please? My exhaust is knocking under the car,  it is knocking where the exhaust bolts to the gearbox bracket but it seems to me that the down section before the first bend is too long. Did they make 2 manifolds and front pipes for these cars?

It's a 51 plate, 2.2 petrol saloon.

Thanks guys.

I only ask because the downward section of the pipe seems to be too long. I'm in need of a new manifold as mine is cracked and I need to stop this knocking but want to make sure I get the right one. The part number on the manifold is 90400248

Correct manifold for 2.2 is part #24420438
90400248 is for the 2.0

Just out of interest, as mine has a manifold from a 2.0 rather than the 2.2, what are the differences?
