Title: Openreach
Post by: STEMO on 25 February 2016, 07:30:49
On the Beeb this morning: BT are going to have to allow access to their cabs, poles, UG etc., so that other providers can lay their own cables. That will be fun. ;D

Oh dear god - should just about finish the network off!

Another idiotic idea from a bunch of idiots who do not have clue. An even more stupid idea than letting Kelly and MJ Quinn screw everything up they are involved with.

Whilst I agree that there is a case for "open access", I can't help but fear for the reliability of the network if any old rock ape is accessing it!! ::)

If anyone comes across an openreach 'engineer' turning up to a cab full of virgin 'engineer', please film it.  :)

This has been allowed for a few years, so ignore the typically useless BBC lazy journalism.

But nobody wants to, as EVERYBODY knows its financially unviable.  Its good the Openreach still have the financial backing of BT so they can hopefully get fibre to within a few hundred yards of almost everyone and get G.fast out, else we'd stand still.

I thought as much but wasn't 100% certain. I has a Sky engineer out who sorted out line issues, eventually!

Nope they seem to have absolutely no idea what they are doing! We need one properly funded and managed network - oh wait we had that a few years ago!

Having to deal with the complete incompetence of non-Openreach engineers multiple times a day this is just the sort of Ofcom announcement I really don't want to see!
