Any thoughts - good or bad.
-
Got them on my Lumia phone, and previous phones, seem very accurate, no problems. They were/are Nokia owned, so possible now Microsoft.
-
Which 'maps app'?
I use maps on Android all the time.

I have just realised that the original question wasn't 'anyone here use Maps app?' guess my answer was less than helpful ::)
-
The question was Here maps :)

Yep, use HERE maps for traffic monitoring.
-
Yep, use HERE as my main Nav App, always have done, slightly prefer it when it was Nokia Maps, which had additional Voice Search and Speed Camera's though.
For info Here Maps took over Navteq aswell.
-
Had it on my old Lumia, worked well.
-
Had it installed on a iPhone 4s for a year or so now but never really used it until the last week while working away.
Normally use Google maps for car navigation when needed but had a play with HERE while away this time.
TBH, once its set up properly, it works better then Google with the speed limit a particular benefit ::) :-X :-X ;D
Only downside I can think of is it does clog up the phone memory quite a bit.
-
Shouldn't realy have an impact on memory, the maps can be used online, or you can download the maps data and use it as a stand alone Nav with Data switched off or no Sim, you should still get the Speed Alert but you obviously wont get the Live Traffic in offline mode.
From memory if you download the whole of the UK inc Ireland Maps Data as 1 package together rather than doing them individually the whole package is around 250 MBs in total, so it shouldn't break the memory bank. ;)

??? ??? Just had a look at my phone and if it can be believed, its taking up 638MB on a 8 gig phone :-\
Edit to say that 540MB of that is Documents & Data ???
-
I have uk,Ireland, whole of France and Spain on phone 1.24gb. Loads of room on phone and sd card. :),and can be used offline as standalone prat-nav. :P
-
I use HERE al the time for Nav and find it very good indeed :y
-
Tried it today on my phone, quite impressed :y
Probably be more useful on my tablet - larger screen. :-\
