This is probably a silly question but due to me needing a visit to wims..my passenger side front tyre is starting to wear a bit quick on the outer edge. Can i swap it with the drivers side rear. So wear is on the inside.

That's not ideal as it will continue to wear that way. But it won't be as badly, so you'll get some more life out of the tyre.
This will be fine on a road car unless you have the precision calibrated arse that all of the beyond F1 tyre testers on here do.

Depends if directional and/or assymetric, either will bugger up that idea.

I have only had my mig on the road since 1st feb ( bought it mid jan ) and was aware of slight pull to the n/s. I took it just over a week ago for a free suspension & steering check. I mentioned about alignment so it was also checked. out come I had it done. when driving away I still detected a slight pull to n/s. the migs going for an M.O.T tomorrow so decided to swap wheels for 4 well shod ones. the original o/s front was completely bald on the inner side for about 2,1/2 " . the pull has gone now. so must have been tyre related. I,m surprised the mechanic didn,t mention it.

Needs a full geometry check, not 4 wheel alignment (generally a waste of time on an Omega). More importantly, it needs somebody who knows what they are doing, or your next tyres will be shagged in quick order.
