Hoping for some help on this... Only had a very quick look this evening.
Has a battery drain with ignition off. Battery and alternator test ok.
In addition... MID doesn't work, just flickers. Radio doesn't work. Auto button on climate doesn't work properly. All switches on driver's door control panel (windows, mirrors etc) don't work.
Hoping someone can shed some light for me to save me many, many hours of fault finding!!

While I don't have any specific knowledge of the symptoms you describe, the random and multiple nature of the faults would suggest a chafed wire shorting to earth to me :-\
Maybe check wires near the ECU?

Poxy canbus shite.
Read and fix all ECUs as a starter - due to CAN, faults in one ECU can keep other ECUs on
-
Knowing it is a weak point on GM motors, I'm suspicious of the ignition switch.
But before I start searching for faults that are a PITA to trace, I thought I'd ask here... There's a lot of Signum/Vectra C knowledge here ;)

Could it be that simple? I forgot my laptop yesterday :-[
I know CANBUS causes all sorts of weird symptoms though

3.2 should be part can car - buttons on the steering wheel instead of scroll wheels?
CIM failure is fairly common, there are separate modules for drivers door (DDM) and passenger door (PDM), radio is linked iirc to ECC module - but that might only be full can cars only - as per Omega a lot of this goes through the headunit
Chances are ones failed and affecting the rest but in all honesty only reading the ECU's will confirm if they are still paired
Option two check the big green 30amp fuse in the box at the passenger end of the dashboard as from memory this is the radio and others fuse

Thanks Phil. The radio lights are flickering, as is the screen which stays on with ignition off.
I'll try to pop around and read the ecus in the next day or so... It's a nice car (as Signums go!) in good nick, despite the 160k on the clock... It would be a shame for him to scrap it over this, which is one of his current thoughts!
As an aside, he went into the local Vx dealership to buy my current Omega (was the directors's car, hence all the options) but it had been sold over Network Q to someone up north... He was then sold this Signum at a good price. He still drawls over my car when I go around!!

Right... Been and looked. It's a 2004 model and, as expected, had a long list of around 50 faults globally!
After clearing it returned about 15 faults, most of which are CAN related.
It also doesn't see the display control module. It initially saw the TID but soon lost it ::)
However, looking at live data for the engine ECU it seems to see the ignition switching off/on even with the engine running..... Didn't have chance to look further but could this all be as simple as an ignition switch fault?

Anyone got any thoughts?

That age isn't full CAN... What happens if the radio is removed?

Still put money on the CIM being on the way out.
Very common, but best way to check for sure is swapping with a known good one, but you do need to do the full divorce/ marriage cycle on both units
I'm not aware of ignition barrel failure being an issue on Vectra C/ Signums

Switch, not barrel ;) it's the on/off cycle that has me suspicious but I can't see that as the cure, unless the TID is slow to boot. Incidentally, local Vx dealer suggested the switch could be faulty as an initial, over the phone diagnosis. But I think that was just reference the battery drain.
Where is the CIM hidden? Or is it combined with radio/screen?
Not sure how far into this I will delve... I don't do programming with that reader we don't discuss so it would need a Tech 2 chat.

Anyone have any further thoughts on this? Mr DTM perhaps? ???
