Title: oil leaking
Post by: raywilb on 14 March 2016, 21:00:01
I had the car jacked up today & from the sump gasket area it was showing signs of leaking oil. I ran the engine for a while whilst I rigged up a hose & looked for a can of spray on gunk. it did clean up good. I tried the sump bolts & without daring to over tighten I did get between a 1/3 to 1/2 a turn on every bolt. I never new any torque settings, so had to rely on judgement. Also 9.30 tomorrow my migs booked in for its M.O.T. quietly quite confident.  :y

My other car got an advisory for an oil leak on its last test, mind you it is a classic Mini and they 'sweat power' when they leave the factory LOL
