Title: Shower V's Bath
Post by: Broomies Mate on 14 March 2016, 22:34:14
No, not an odd Rugby match.

Does anyone have a bath nowadays?  I can honestly say I've only had one bath in over 6 years (and that was because I stayed in a B&B where the shower trickled tepid water).

Surely a shower is the way forward?  I'm in and out in a few minutes *fnar*.  SWMBO has a bath every day...... How much water and gas is wasted, considering she then uses the bloody shower to wash her stupidly long blonde hair.

So, who has what, and why?  :-\

Ok I'll bite (seeing as I'm in a sh!t hotel in France with nothing better to do than post on a forum and snaffle the local vin rouge).

Shower 95% of the time as it's quicker and easier. The other 5% - after a rugby match or some particularly crappy job on the house I'll be in there for at least an hour with a couple of cold beers. Bath Takes a lot of beating for that!

Showers definitely, can't honestly remember the last time I took a bath, swim most days so don't even use our own shower much.

Shower, normally twice daily.
Bath - 2-3 times a year, if I fancy a soak / am aching / under the weather etc.

Baths for winter, showers for summer, simples. Bit of a waste of time SWMBO putting smelly candles in for just a shower. Smells like a tarts boudoir. :D

Shower every time... Doesn't have to be quick though... Half hour in the shower can be as relaxing as a long hot bath...

Shower in morning for time constraints (ie, more time ZZzzz'ing in my pit), bath most evenings - and a proper wollow for an hour or more.  Generally, if I'm on OOF on a schoolday evening, you can bet I'm in the bath.

Can't get a tin bath in the cave, would damage the sack cloth door trying to get it in.

Have to light a fire outside as no ventilation in cave.

Ive a Jacuzzi bath.....when was the last time I used it?.....probably about 3 years ago....when I had a bad back....thought the jets of hot water would do my back good....Wrong....it soothed it when in the bath.....but I was even worse after getting out.

Shower for me everytime  :y

Tho a Jacuzzi bath might suit TB as he spends loads of time in a bath.....but then may not if he's trying to cut down on his leccy bill....I don't think its very eco friendly  :-\ plus the low bubble sented additive to the water aint that cheap either....if you want foam in the bath and a nice smelly bath  :-\

Showers for me, only time I have a bath it's when my back is giving me grief, it's too easy to lay in the bath for over an hour.

A variation of..........two nuns in the dark and one says "where's the candle"?

To which the second nun replies "yes it does doesn't it"....... :)
