Title: Caliper cradle mix up - should I be worried?
Post by: Tick Tock on 15 March 2016, 17:43:29
As part of the front suspension overhaul, I've been careful so far not to mix things up, and kept the O/S separate from the N/S.

However during the cleaning process, I've not got a clue which carrier / cradle is which, and dimensionally they both appear to be the same..... apart from the numbers cast into them.

Anyone know which is which? AFAICS they are interchangeable and shouldn't pose a problem on reassembly, but thought I'd ask anyway.

As 'Arris was going to say before he fell asleep on his keyboard, the carriers are identical L/H and R/H.  Difference in stamped number might be a production line, or batch number possibly.

I've never paid any attention to which one came off which side.  :y

Might be in for a long wait, they tend not to do that until they've landed.  ::)
