Title: FAO HKT
Post by: Shackeng on 22 March 2016, 14:49:12
OK Al, tell me who drove into the side of the BA2262  777 which arrived from Kingston at 1000AM today, thus delaying the arrival of our bags at the carousel? Please give him a sincere kick up the a&%e from me. I suspect it was an over-enthusiastically driven baggage truck. >:( :y :y :y

Wasn't me ;D just on my way in, but if it was one of us, it's a fairly short list of suspects ;)

How was it btw?

Excellent thanks very much. 10 days of glorious warm sunshine, sea, and assorted rum drinks. :y

Further to that, if you think BA business class is up market:

At dinner last night, having eaten my meal and studying a pat of butter which had no apparent use, the attendant arrives with the second course and spots me gazing with puzzlement at the butter:
" Would you like another roll Sir?"
" Another? I haven't had the first one yet!"
" Well would you like two this time Sir?"

You couldn't make it up. ;D ;D ;D

The last time I flew long haul was Goose Bay to Wildenrath in the back of a Tristar with a iirc, a French exchange pilot at the controls.
After nearly stacking it in the mountains around goose, he then took 4 attempts to get the bus onto the ground back home in sausage land  :-X :-X :-X
That was the first time I have every seen the aircrew at the front peer out of the window and go very quite  :o

Oh yeh, No Champagne or Bread rolls

No real issues with BA here. But they offer nothing more than a budget airline in my experience.

TBH, the airline is irrelevant, its dealing with the wholly useless mongrels as soon as you get within a thousand yards of the airport perimeter that ruins any flights I have.

+2

In fact I have found that on the route between gatwick and lyon that Easyjet provided a better quality product for less money.  The caveat with that is that the crews were always a very experienced and motivated French. Between London and Paris you often had a junior and lacklustre British crew yet the BA experience was slightly better.

After 2 return trips with BA where we had severe delays on leg and they lost my bag on another, I stuck with squeezyjet.

Well, it all starts with the planners. Who are clearly brain dead (or on the take), and continues down the shitter from there.

For less than 1000 miles, its quicker and far less stressful to drive.
