What's the best currently recommended product for flushing a v6 cooling system after a failed oil cooler please? :y

Ive tried pretty much everything, still a pain in the arse, in my experience Industrial Oven Cleaner worked best (the rubber friendly type).
How friendly are you with your local landlord. ;)

I have toyed with the idea of using a large 100L drum fitted with an in and out fosset and taps, a 12v high temp water pump and find a decent spot to hijack the coolant stream.
The idea would be to let it get up to temp and then using the taps and the pump flush the coolant through. If you get an air tight lid you could even do it under pressure.

I'm told that traffic film remover works well, how expensive this would work out to be I've no idea.Other than that others on here have in the past advocated the use of laundry liquid, which may prove to be cheaper than tfr.

Start with lots of water. Only once it runs clean-ish start with the chemicals.
But no real shortcuts, it'll need bi-daily flushes for a coupleof weeks.

Low foam washing detergent, works well, plenty of flushing after. ::)
