Due to having a camshaft seize up, I've had to have a replacement engine fitted to my 2003 2.2 petrol Omega (Z22XE) by my regular mechanic.
However, the following codes are being generated:
P0700
P0743
P1781
I can see that they are to do with the transmission, but I would appreciate some advice as to what may have caused these codes and how to get rid of them.
ie, is it something that just has to be allowed to "bed in" due to the replacement engine and will clear in time, or will something have to be done to clear them.
Also, will it cause problems actually driving the car whilst these codes are present.
TIA
Steve

Do you have the facility to read the gearbox and ABS codes?
Was the engine ecu replaced, or used your original one?
Any symptoms?

Well, in reply to your 1st question: No and no
and in reply to the next question, i don't know - not being much help here, am i :-)
HOWEVER, we managed to clear those 3 codes just after I posted the original question, and have been driving around for a few hours this evening, and the codes have not reappeared.
I find this really bizarre.

Possibly related to ign being on at a point when things weren't plugged in. But try again in a week or 2 :)

Been driving round all day today without any codes or warning lights, so may have sorted itself out - HOPEFULLY :-)
