Title: Pleasant surprise
Post by: 2boxerdogs on 01 April 2016, 20:08:43
After reading all the recent posts about hikes in motor insurance premiums I was expecting the worst. I have been with LV for around 20 years as they give excellent deals for Civil Service employees, the last 3 years the premium has decreased slightly, the wife's car last year was £141 this year £161 ,am happy with that.

Still an increase, but not too bad. I too and concerned after reading all the posts. Currently my 3 come to under £700.

I used to use Frizells (as it was then), but found they became uncompetitive, and thus I cancelled my CSMA membership.

Got my renewal quote from LV today for £330, about the same as last year.
Went on line and got a couple of other quotes from Direct Line and CIS for more or less the same and then went online to LV and got a quote for .............£262.

 :) :)

Thought I would have a go on line with LV , the only thing I changed was the mileage reducing it from 10,000 PA to  7,000 PA everything else exactly the same quote came to £194.00.. so no reduction in fact an increase.
