Title: Will CCRT 2008 Onstar work ?

As I heard, the Onstar system will be/is revitalized.
Can I use the Onstar button in my car ? (it has CCRT 2008 installed)

The original manual says:

Onstar button: No function

Unlikely in the basic format that this old unit would be compatible with...
