I think it looks awesome lol proper mad max style lol

Boss had to weld most of it cos I just couldn't get the settings right. I'm not the greatest welder as I'm sure u know.  But pleased. Until it takes my head off lol

There is a reason that hammers have wooden handles, wait until you hit something unforgiving very hard, then make sure you have a wrist splint handy. :-X :y

Mine was actually meant as a T-stake hence the rectangular handle, but it's so well balanced it works well as a hammer too.
The head is turned from a n X5 drive shaft and is really tough stuff, machining it wasn't easy.

Wrap lots of Self Amalgamating Tape around the handle.  ;)

Looks like it's been mig welded, personally I'd have felt safer if it had been tig welded. Tig welded with a filler rod would have been stronger and safer as mig welding with a standard set-up can have an effect on hardened steel. If it has been mig welded it could fracture where the weld meets the hardened head. If you mig weld hardened steel with a standard set-up it causes a brittle line along the weld line. Depends how hardened the hammer head is I suppose.  :-\
Just a warning really so you don't hurt yourself.  :y

I'm not a fan of MIG either Alan - for the same reasons ...... but not everyone has access to TIG  ;)

I bought mine. And the thing I showed was  TIG welded. Although the aluminium saucepan handle I did after it is a pretty poor job as I don't get anywhere near enough practice.

Our company IT block Dropbox (but not Photobucket) so I just viewed yours on my phone. Looks a neat enough job.  :y

well I cautiously used this on Friday to hit the part of the hub/leg assembly where the tie rod end lives on a car. was expecting to have a serious amount of feedback in the handle and thus [possibly pain.

didn't feel anything. other than that I had great grip with such a big girth to hold  :D ::)
