Ive come across SaferWeb before, as far as I aware its an another Adware and will probably hijack your brower(s). its free trial leading to asking you for money in the end.

For Mobile browsing outside my secure Home connection, ie Free Hotspots I use Opera Max, it free VPN Data Saver / Accelerator (you can turn the Accelerator off) and just use Oprea's VPN Service. And you dont need to use the Opera Mobile Browser.

No option for a free trial from what I saw. :-\

*Anything* not done at the ISP end is circumventable when using given said ISP (and even if it is done at ISP, can be bypassed by "borrowing" somebody else's ISP ::)).

Generally, if the ISP is doing the nannying within their own network, its difficult to get around if done properly.

Now not being a geeky type, here we go. :o

Mr skrunts is trying to hide from his isp,(or even bigbro GCHQ) download films with out people knowing and increase his speed.

You cannot go off grid, if your online, unless you use internet cafe, or a payg phone, or hack WiFi.
Is it really worth it,unless your trying to do something you shouldn't be doing  ::)

Our whole life is observed. >:(

Totally true.

What do I do online?  These days not a lot.

I built my self an 8 core AMD based PC a couple or so years ago and all I seem to do is play facebook games, chat on here and keep an eye on my online banking, bit of shopping here and there

Also watch a few vids on facebook and youtube.

Most of my time is spent organising the mixed up hard drive collections that have built up over the years, sorting out the junk and getting rid of 100's of duplicate photo's etc.

Films have never bothered me, I have either bought the DVD or waited for the film to be on TV, saying that with the way Sky is structured there never seems to be any thing but repeats and I refuse to pay for movies and sports.  I could go the other other option via the video on demand boxes but really cant be bothered.

I dont really worry about anything I look at on the net, I just am concerned with people gaining personal login info as much as the next person is. :-\

VPN really is for security, and was originally focused on Corporate Companies and remote Workers use, if your using Web based VPN Services you can have the added bonus of being Geographic independent and or changing your IP meaning you can appear to be somewhere you not, as well as benefits to Security when Coffee Shop Browsing.

Onspeed where one of the original players which was launched to Accelerate Internet Speed (predominantly Dial Up) by using Data Compression, but become very popular with Ex Pats wanting to watch BBC iPlayer outside of the UK. Then you have the Speed Throttling or Downloading Bars, ie, Torrents, Adult, Media Downloads etc which started big in the States by ISP and Mobile Networks.

As for Big Brother, Im sure they have the means or powers to listen in or track anyway.

If your mainly at home, and dont spend half your life on other peoples Coffee Shop, Hotels, Airports Hotspots, then just use your own Secure Network or Home VPN rather than pay some monthly fee to a Third Party who may or may not be in the business of securing your information anyway.
