In need of a new PIR.
We have had for years, a hi-lo type. Come on at dusk, at set dim level, when pir triggered, goes to full brightness, then back to dim again.
These were readily available years ago when I fitted it.
Now, can I find one, can I hell? Anyone seen them recently? or know why they seem to have vanished?

Something like this, or are you after the spot light type.

yes...and no...
That is the end result, but due to driveway shape etc, that type spend all their life on.
I run a lantern like that, but with a separate pir some distance away so it works as it should...
Its the standalone PIR im after, but they do not seem to exist anymore.
Off out with a screwdriver to see if it can be fixed.

I think Jimbob after a Dusk to Dawn one with Hi Lo brightness if triggered by the PIR.

Jimbob
Just to clarify ..............
Do you want a stand alone PIR with Hi-Lo capability of do you want one with a light fitting attached ?

Cheers,
Looks like Ive managed to fix it...those things arent designed to come apart...
i'd adjusted the sensitivity to work in the day to test if it worked with a new dimmable led (it does) but on putting the sensitivity back the scre just spun.
On opening it up, could get a spline drive to grip to turn it. All back together and working.
For clarification, it is / was a stand alone pir, with dawn to dusk, but coming on dim all night, going to full bright when triggered.
Cheers

Jimbob, what device do you actually have - any link?
Mine is bog standard, either on when triggered, or off. And of course off during daylight.
A two-level illumination would be quite neat.
Ron.

If I could find a link you'd be welcome to it...
