I still feel guilty for selling my car a few years ago complete with a 'wooden' Irmscher steering wheel ....... even more so after they wrote it off within months of buying it.

If you can't get a factory finished wheel buy Zirk's and I'll " paint " a faux wood effect on it for you .
I've done several wheels now.
Here's the finished effect although any wood grain or shade can be mimicked . Process involves initially removing the old carbon wrap finish.

You re-use your existing airbag and audio controls on the steering wheel as they are a straight fit.

You can fit a non audio button style wheel and manually use stereo although suspect any modification to airbag would be an insurance consideration. You cannot fit audio buttons onto a non audio button style steering wheel as it will require cutting the edges very carefully and coming up with a method of securing them in place.
