Did an online food shop Wed afternoon for del this afternoon between 2-3pm

Driver phoned me to say he was running late.....no problem...

He turned up with my shopping at 3.05pm.....again no problem...

But as he was leaving he said 'As I was late I wont charge for the carrier bags ( 7 of them ) and I wont charge for the delivery either'

Just got an email from the supermarket itemising my shopping with them, £4 (del charge) + 35p (carrier bags) discounted from the bill  :)

Moral.....try to get the shopping delivered on a Friday afternoon.....at school run time....when the traffic is going to be a nightmare  ;D :y

I allways tick for no carrier bags, all my deliveries get dropped straight into the kitchen and 80% of the drivers have often helped unpack so they can shoot off. :y

-
We use Ocado - They give 5p back for every carrier bag you return, wherever it is from.

If anyone is interested in trying, let me know and I'll send a referral... You get a £20 voucher and so do we :y
-
When I go shopping, I always forget my bags, so I buy some more  ::)

Oh yes. It's all ok for the captitalist, imperialist, materialist, everythingelseist, so-and-sos who can afford to pay FIVE PENCE for a bag. BUT, what about the downtrodden underclass who struggle to survive, who struggle to feed the children, and who struggle to afford even the M&S dine-in-for-£10 that goes in the 5P bag ?

I pay 6p for a bag for life so, when it splits, I take it back and get it exchanged for free. Stemonomics  :y

The carrier bags are colour coded, depending on cupboard/fridge/freezer/etc goods .... are their customers usually that thick that they don't where to put the shopping that has been delivered  :-\  ::) ;D
