Did it myself 3 1/2 weeks ago finished last Friday. 1 year travelling to Portsmouth + Winchester from Watford mon to fri. Travelling time don't make me laugh >:( not a penny what happened to E.u rules :-X

You dont have to serve notice, not the full term anyway...
You can quit and walk out, but you will lose pay....
They wont servge you 3 months notice for redundancy or if they fire you....
-
Start my new role on Tuesday, as my old mgmt. insisted on the full 28 days...
-
Well done Martin!
Doing the same / similar job?

For many companies, April is the new budget allocations ;)

True.
Mind you, I was very much an "out of budget" recruitment... Fortunately my reputation preceded me and they didn't want to let me go elsewhere :y

Hmmm, our experiences mirror ::)
Downside is I have to come to "near you" most of next week :(

"near you"
Not that there is anything wrong with that area, web footed inhabitants aside ;D. Its just a drag to get to at the wrong times of day :(

Not staying up here? Assuming you are referring to the place I think

Old team has no budget, or desire to pay for me, and I'm not officially in the new team yet. I guess its not often that your first 3 days in an (essentially) office job are in a different building 3hrs away. So no hotels this time unless I stump up.
I suspect I'll stay just outside Newmarket, and abuse Mum's hospitality ;D

We could probably help the first half of the week, if that's any benefit?
Well... All but Thursday night
