I am absolutely knackered, but it's done. Should be able to get a bit of a rest in about three months, and I might screw some screws and hammer some nails if I ever find my tools again. :o

An upmarket move requires an upmarket car for both yourself and the headmistress.
The Astra will need to go as will the 'Frenchie' :y
I suggest a large executive saloon with a prestigious badge.
How about a Vauxhall Omega?

Did you hire a van and do it yourself or employ a company?

I employed a removal firm, El Varche. It still took most of the day and a lot of sweat, effin and blindin. :'(

STMO is too old and unfit for that. :)
All that lifting and bending can cause leaks. :'(

Give it a few weeks and the crime rate will rise, house prices will plummet and the for sale signs will go going up all around you :P ;D ;D

Moving ? Blimey. We moved two years ago and there are still unopened boxes of stuff lying around the place. We only moved 231 miles though. You sound pretty organised.
-
Look at it this way, Rog...if you still have boxes...Dump them, as you obviously have not missed them, or do not need them !!!!!! ;)

In theory, yes. BUT, I won't dump my boxes of vinyl LPs although at present I have nothing to play them on, and SWMBO won't get rid of books that she'll never read again. We're both pathological hoarders ;D
