Title: Full Alloy Wheel refurb, £20 a corner offer.
Post by: zirk on 07 May 2016, 13:35:40
May help someone out, currently on offer, too far for me (Birmingham) a lot cheaper than any local ones nearer to me, not sure if theres any hidden catches or costs and know nothing about them, ring first, may be worth a trip if you've got a few wheels to do.  :y

Isn't there a refurbisher next to Serek's garage?

Ron.

mmm at that price its almost worth the round trip twice ... but I'd need 4 wheels with legal tyres .. which would push the price up somewhat !! unless their "same day" option at +£10 a wheel applies ... so £30 a wheel done in one day .. so only one way trip of fuel as well ....worth thinking about ....  :)  Methinks an email is in order  :)

CPC have had that offer for years, some very mixed reviews of their work.

I might drop a winter set up there one day but I don't hold out much hope of the job being exceptional. That said, i've yet to have a set of wheels refurbished anywhere that have been to the same quality and durability of the original coating.

IME, the Sportstars incurred an extra cost, even though they are not split-rim.

Also worth checking if perfectly round still, as if not, you want this sorted before refurb, and the Sportstars are soft as shite

(I'm making assumption yours has Sportstars ?)

Also ask if that includes tyre removal/refit....

Thought Entwood had early facelift Elite wheels (ie. Audi style slab spokes)

Correctomundo .. no sportstars here although I did attempt to purchase some a few years ago .. all fell through :(
