Title: Fit for a King !!
Post by: Terbs on 08 May 2016, 12:26:56
Washed, polished, Windscreen clayed, tyres blacked. All ready for the hols.....
Beautiful cars...Take the plates off, I defy anyone to name its age ;)
I will say, the headlight guards, if you can get them, keep the lights in tip top condition. AutoGlym Aqua Wax was used to polish. Makes the job easy. I bought the 5 litre can from the bay for £30. Massive saving :y

I have got a spoiler in the shed, it wants painting to match. I am just worried after fitting it, it may fly off :-\
Would probably set the car off a bit :y

Not the same colour as mine then!Surprisingly mine is Graphite II Effect yet it looks so like your pictures! When it comes to the spoiler[I think all Omegas look better with one]then Tiger Seal or Sikaflex is the way to go.

You have convinced me....I think its a spray up and bite the bullet and stick it on. :y

I don't know what that colour will be like to spray, may be difficult getting the right depth..

yep stickaflex does the job as i have just done mine..I marked the boot lid with a few dots along the outline of the spoiler and then applied masking tape to suit the dots and this allows you to keep the boot lid cleaner from any sticky that squeezes out....dont apply to much adhesive as I did as it makes a mess and you have to clean it off..i also had a bottle of thinners and a fluff free cloth to hand to clean of any access glue..then taped the spoiler in place for 24 hours and job done...makes a great difference to the look of the car. :y

Thanks for that, flyer....
Was a bit worried about having sticky all over the place. I thought that masking tape would come in the equation somewhere. :y

I was up with the crack of dawn to make sure she was cool and in the shade. I am away for two months now, but we will switch the saloon for probably the gold estate in three weeks, as I will be carting people and their dogs around Dorset, possibly over to the Isle of Wight as well. The blue estate is booked for new rear arches (if we can locate some !!!) and my daughter may borrow the saloon for a month, whilst they look for a new car.
So vehicle wise, a busy two months :)

Just out of interest, have you guys had a coating of green coloured dust on your cars lately. !!!!! :(
