Wifey's Corsa C's rear wiper motor has packed up. I can't get one for under £160 and that's on trade.
Anyone know why they're so stupidly expensive and where I can get a cheaper one from? Otherwise I'll be forced to try a £15-20 eGay special.
Cheers chaps

Corsa forum boys quote :
.Had similar problem with my rear wiper ...Intermitant fuse blow! Checked the wiring in the rubber tube by the tailgate hinge
and found a couple of broken wires...... joined them up with connectors....problem solved
Quite a few motors on eday .

Yes they rarely actually fail, usually a wire break

Ecp are £132 trade for a rear motor although you should be able to screw them down a bit more :y

I checked it for voltage and it gets battery voltage when switched on. My electrics knowledge ain't all that lol but could I still see 12v at the connector but then there's a short on the ground side?

Cheers for that Henry. Sadly we aren't allowed to order from them. Orders from our boss :-X

For the sake of 20 quid against 160 new, I think I know what I would be doing, they either work or they dont.
I dont know this for a fact but guessing Tigra, Astra etc from same year would have the same part number and so would widen your search.

Thanks Zirk.
I think I'll check all the wiring first. I presume it's the standard wire breakage where the rubber cover is in the boot area where it bends / gets caught up etc?
If not I'll get a twenty quid spare :y

A little off topic ::)
What site is there to read about stripping a rear door down on a 14 plate corsa.
I need to replace the post between the rear door drop and door vent
