Noticed quite a few paint blisters on the bonnet this morning
and initially thought someone had poured paint stripped on it but
closer inspection looks like the lacquer is lifting from a poor bonnet respray :'(
Looks like it all needs sanding back :(
-
my old elite had laquer peel on bonnet ended up needing a respray :(

I could be wrong , perhaps it is paint stripper :-\ Funny
how it happened on the only night the car was left out .
Lacquer just flake off leaving the paint intact underneath :-\

Annoyingly that one I got offered the other week was (I think) black saphhire. But the old lady decided not to sell. You could have had the whole bonnet for less than the price of a respray.
Will keep my eye out for anything in black saphhire, though. Z20R, is it?

Black sapphire it is dbg ;) Only trouble with getting another bonnet is how to get it back
here as not sure it would fit in a saloon boot :-\

In the rear footwells across the car?

Take some spanners, fit the new bonnet, modify the old one so you can move it and drop it at the nearest tip on the way home.
Or get a roofrack.

Or in the back of a discovery :y
