You could and not really. In that order :y

Hi all it was is my cars has just flew thru its mot but I think the cats are taking a hamerimg around ours and thought if I remove them and put thru pipes on I might gain some more hp aswell
-
If you remove them it wont fly threw the MOT next time, it will sound a lot louder and any HP gains wont really be achieved unless you go to town on redesigning the complete exhaust system to suit.
-
No worries the garage is going to put shorter exhaust bushes on for me to take them up an inch too give them abit more room
-
If you decat it will most likely fail the next mot on emishions and increase you mpg. It will sound sweet though.
-
It maybe worth doing just for the noise then lol

Not really... to legally use the car on the road the cats must stay. Simples.
If you're adamant that you want to change them, you can fit 3.0 cats with a couple of mods... :y

You could bypass one but the farting sound it will make isn't worth it
Get xover pipes fitted instead and remove the centre boxes
