Title: My Quote of the week
Post by: Mister Rog on 30 May 2016, 11:25:44

I just loved this line

"You can't legislate against human stupidity," he said, adding: "If you go in swimming at 10 o'clock at night, you're going to get consumed."

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-36376227

But in particular "You can't legislate against human stupidity," can be applied to so many things. It's something that sucessive governments have failed to see.

It,s like all the millions that are spent on Railway crossings, Don,t people realize that there "might" be a train coming. Instead
they would rather be on their phone/i.pod etc.

It's not that you can't legislate against stupidity, but that you shouldn't

Einstein discovered human stupidity a loooong time ago. "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity. And I'm not so sure about the universe ".

Do spelling mistakes contribute to one's SQ score (stupidity quotient)

Now, there's a thought. We all know about IQ tests. How about SQ tests for certain jobs and roles in life ? There must be some jobs for which being stupid is essential ?
